Mongranda Alm

From Mongranda, following the CAI trail no. 806 you can reach the Val dairy hut; opposite it, Eastward, on the South-Western side of Monte Lovinzola you can see the "Crist di Val" grotto. Its walls and part of the vault are almost completely covered with engravings and bas-reliefs. In the past it was a place of cult, in particular, people used to climb up here to invoke rain in times of drought. For art lovers, in Verzegnis the ART PARK has been opened, where you can admire extraordinary contemporary works of art made right outdoors by world famous artists. In Colle Mazeit you can admire a multi-layer fortified settlement dating from 3600 B.C. to the 13th century A.D.
