Malga Pozof (Marmoreana) - Malga Pramosio

Length: 35 km
Type:

From Casera Pozof (Marmoreana) at a height of 1,583 m above sea level, return to the road that leads from Liariis to the Zoncolan and start climbing again along the asphalted road. After travelling through two short tunnels and the last narrow hairpin bends, you reach the Zoncolan pass at a height of 1,739 m above sea level. Leave the asphalted road and turn right onto the dirt road that passes close to the Rifugio Tamai shelter (refreshment point) and continues with a few ups and downs, cutting across the ski slope tracks until you reach Casera Tamai at a height of 1,594m above sea level. The road descends briefly towards the casera and then continues first slightly uphill and then on the flat until you reach Casera Agareit, which you leave on the right. A little further on, the road crosses a ridge and soon goes down towards Casera Meleit (1,542 m above sea level). At the hairpin bend after the Casera, continue straight on, almost at altitude, towards Forcella Meleit and then, cutting slightly downhill to the north of Mount Dauda, you will reach Malga Dauda. At the crossroads below the malga mountain hut, turn left and follow a gentle forest road, which has long hairpin bends in the woods, and descends towards Noiariis at a height of 557 m above sea level. Follow the carriageway for a short distance towards Sutrio and, before the bridge over the Rio Saustri stream, turn left onto a narrow, asphalted road that leads to the banks of the river Bût, where it joins up with the Valle del Bût cycle path. Then follow the cycle path route that runs along the river Bût and crosses the carriageway for Ravascletto and continues along the banks of the river Bût as far as the bridge over the river Gladegna. Cross the bridge and turn right towards Cercivento. At the entrance to the village, turn right and at the next crossroads, go straight on, following the signs for the cycle path as far as the Museis holiday farm. The cycle path continues high above the valley floor as far as the narrowing near the Moscardo torrent, where a bridge crosses the river Bût and joins the main road leading to the Mount Croce Carnico pass. Follow the main road uphill for 300 m and then take the unpaved road on the right that climbs up the Moscardo torrent at the edge of the wood. At a crossroads, turn left and having reached an asphalted road, follow it to the right as far as the Moscardo torrent, which is either forded or can be crossed by means of a foot- and cycle-pedestrian bridge. A few hundred more metres of asphalted road lead to the residential area in Laipacco, where the road for Casera Pramosio starts on the right. Following the latter, which climbs up through the forest with several hairpin bends and a constant gradient, you reach the Casera Pramosio holiday farm at a height of 1,521 m above sea level.
Length: 35 km.
Uphill gradient: 1,469 m.
Estimated travelling time: 6-7 hours.
