High Degano Valley
The trails leading to the pastures offer a spectacle of suggestive natural environments, with luxurious fir woods inhabited by roe deer, badgers, foxes, chaffinches. Above Rigolato the banned wood of Gracco is easily identifiable in all seasons, thanks to the surrounding spruce forests. Characterized by dense beech woods planted to protect the villages, all the towns located at the feet of the valley are worth visiting. The town of Forni Avoltri houses the "Cemùot chi erin" (lit. “How we were”) ethnographic collection, exhibiting traditional labour tools alongside reproductions of environments and locations from a period between the nineteenth century and the Second World War. Furthermore, the collection features a permanent exhibition entitled: "Forni Avoltri during the Great War". The town of Comeglians features a typical Carnic village with characteristic architecture dating back to the XVII and XVIII centuries, while the town of Ravascletto is an important tourist hub in both winter and summer.
